How much does it cost to renovate a house in Cantabria?

It depends on the property: its location, age and condition, the square metres, and whether you renovate the whole house or only some rooms. We do not give prices over the phone. We visit the property, measure it and give you a fixed written quote, free and with no obligation.

Is the quote fixed, or can it change during the works?

The quote is fixed and in writing before work starts. It only changes if you decide to add new work during the project. In that case we price the extra separately and you approve it before we do it.

How long does a full renovation take?

A full renovation of an average flat usually takes 6 to 10 weeks, depending on the size and on whether the plumbing, the wiring or the layout change. Before we start, you get a fixed timeline and a works schedule.

Do I need a permit to renovate a property in Cantabria?

Almost every renovation needs some procedure with the town hall, although it is not always a full building licence. Interior works that do not touch the structure usually go through a responsible declaration (declaración responsable). We prepare the description of the works, the itemised quote and the waste documents, and we coordinate the architect or engineer when the works need a project.

Which areas do you cover?

The whole of Cantabria, including Liébana and Campoo, from our base in Santander. In Bilbao and Bizkaia we only take on large projects, such as full renovations.
